Previous Editions
Lift-Off is founded by Studio Frederik Roijé en Dave Keune in 2002. Urged by the lack of possibilities for young designers to present themselves Frederik and Dave joined forces to create their own platform. After the first succesfull edition, Sander Mulder joined the organisation and the foundation was started. With the goal to promote and stimulate young dutch design national as well as internationally the show was growing better every year.
Now, 6 editions later the theme of the show is widely copied and proven succesfull. Therefore Dave looked for a new direction in an artistic way so he teamed up with Freek Lomme, director of Onomatopee. Together they stand for an exhibition with an emphasis on cultural growth and productional strenght. Lift-Off is part of a range of exhibitions and events Onomatopee will be producing during the Dutch Design week.
